Gettin’ It

He used his finger to probe the soft area…get the blood flowing.

I tried not to tense as he did this knowing it would just make entry difficult.

He took the bottle and squirted out the contents. It was colder then I felt it needed to be as he squirted where he had been probing, but it numbed the insertion point enough that he slid it in without too much discomfort.

I tried not to tense those muscles, because even with the area numb, I could feel an ache as it was pushed deeper inside me and moving or resisting would hurt worse.

He pulled out after what seemed like an eternity and I could relax.

He then grabbed the second syringe to inject into my other knee.

You pervs……..I’ve started getting shots in my knees for my arthritis.

Have a great weekend.

Around The Place

* The yellow and purple flowers in the pot are the only ones who survived from last year. Possibly because they are in the shade of the screen during the afternoon. But if you look closely you’ll see something: the yellow flowers have seeded themselves in the mulch and the yard. We really hate to mow them. We’ve never had an annual propagate like this before.

* The large white koi is the one my mom gave to us because hers were getting so big they were running out of room in her pond.

* This is a good picture of Sydney. Being mostly black, she’s tough to photograph. I wish someone made a plug-in to remove “pet-eye”.

* You can see the first waterlily bloom of the season. Small and pink, but we should get some more very soon. The lily pads are quickly covering the surface, too.

Seeing Green…

Wicked

Had a wonderful night. After leaving class at 7:15 I went down to the theater. Met the hubby and some friends, and joined the sea of other queens and fag hags there to see Wicked. It was really fabulous. In the show the Wizard was played by Lee Wilkoff, the original Seymour Krelborn from Little Shop of Horrors. I recognized the name immediately in the program and when hearing him sing I could just see him feeding a hungry, murderous plant…but he looks a lot different now after 30 years. At intermission I mentioned this to R. who was sitting on my right, and when the Wizard was on for his next scene, R. started laughing because he, too, could now hear Seymour down on the stage.

Saturday we are going to the Cast Member preview of Toy Story Mania at the Studios (Can’t wait!!!), a dinner party that evening, and on Sunday Hubby leaves for an out-of-country business trip of two weeks.

Oh…and I’m having dinner with a special “Spider” on Monday. ;-)

Everyone have a great weekend.

One Down…

I did my final exam project last night and got it out of the way! No all that is left is my online class final which I’ll do this weekend. Then I can sell my books back and wait for the Fall to take my final class.

Work is incredibly dead today. Took the Hybrid tot he dealer today for servicing. Have dinner with my mom tonight. That’s about it. Have a good weekend.

One Great Stone

If you don’t watch the ABC program Eli Stone, you are missing one well written show. When it first came on we watched to give it a shot (though it does have Victor Garber in it - I’ll call him ‘Daddy’ anytime!) and we were pleasantly surprised. I was expecting it to be hokey with each episode neatly tied up at the end…but it’s a full story arc, and the characters keep on developing.

I got a double-dose of it last night watching the past two episodes I had recorded and I was glued to the television the whole time. I thought it was something I ought to mention on my blog for any of you who might be wondering about it. Give it a shot. It’s got an uplifting message without being overly religious.

Starting Up

Well, I’m back for another post. I don’t think I’ll be posting each week day like I used to, but popping in occasionally.

I’ve been busy as heck with work. The latest talk is we will be moving everyone into the same building and renting out our call center to another company. Funny if it turns out to be a collection agency, because we are a debt management company. The major hurtle is the cost of relocating our data center.

The hubby is in Europe for a few days teaching classes. I had the house to myself all weekend. I spent almost 6 hours yesterday working on my final exam project for my server class. I have just a few tweaks and I should be done. My online class is pretty easy. All I have left with that is the final exam. But I have realized that when I’m home alone, I can’t be for a long length of time. I get in the mode of not doing the daily chores. But Saturday I spent at work getting some OT so that kept me from sitting on the couch all day playing PlayStation 3. And what do I do when he leaves at the end of the month for almost two weeks?

Friday night I went and Saw Rabbit hole at Theatre Down Town. A fabulous play! Go see it! There were only about 40 people in the audience so I know word of mouth has not gotten out. Heck, even Elizabeth Maupin, the Sentinel theater critic liked it, and she’s is one tough person to impress. I also got to meet the director, Mr. Bee, who can be heard on the Qcast Connection podcasts.

Off for more work.

So Long, Farewell, auf Wiedersehen, Good Night…

Yes, kiddies. It’s with much thought that I have decided to put my blog on an indefinite hiatus. Work has taken it’s toll with the reduction in work force. I am also discouraged that what brings the most hits to my blog are people searching for the term “Kristy McNichol”.

The blog has been an outlet for me to vent or talk about things on my mind, or to write humorous anecdotes…but it’s not fun anymore. At that point isn’t that really the time to move on? I may pop back in and leave an update occasionally, but I won’t set a goal of getting a post a day in anymore. And several of my blog friends have done the same…they don’t post as much anymore, if at all.

But I’ll still be reading the blogs I always do (and sometimes commenting). What I would really like to do is come back in the podcasting arena. Not a blog podcast, but I in the audio medium.

So everyone have a great rest of the week. I am taking Monday and Tuesday of next week off after two weeks of being the only help desk person here. I am fried physically and mentally. I think it’s time for a massage.

Later!
