Monorail Inferno?

July 4th Mnorail Accident
1 death…the driver. Reason is still unknown at this time. The system is supposed to shut down when two trains get too close to each other.
Synopsis?
Well it’s been a long time since my last typed post. Here’s a quick peek at what’s been happening (for those of you who still check this space out).
Work is as crazy as ever. I nearly quit two weeks ago over pure frustration. Calls constantly coming in on the Help Desk line and indifferent co-workers whose job it was to fix that problem. My boss has been on vacation for a few weeks but I will talk with him next week and tell him something has to be done. I am quickly approaching burn out; I need a 2nd Help Desk person soon. As we send more and more employees to work from home, Help Desk calls take longer and longer. Walking to someone’s desk was great because I could resolve a problem quickly. Now you have to rely on employees unskilled in computers try to explain a problem to you. Goodbye 10 minutes of my life for something I could have fixed in 1. Joy…

This just in: Because Michael Jackson’s body was made up of 99% plastic, it will now be melted down and turned into Lego bricks so little children can now play with him instead.

I may become a property owner soon. The government is giving an $8,000 credit to first-time home buyers BEFORE they buy the home, as long as you close before November 30th. And if I purchase in my county and get an FHA loan, it will be no money down. My brother is looking for properties in my range that will rent quickly. The hubby an I spend a few weekends painting and fixing up, then we rent it out. My brother’s management company will then handle it.
That’s enough for today. Everyone have a great weekend!
Ooooo! Aaaaahhh!

Bad karma: ‘My Name Is Earl’ is done

So much for those talks about TBS bringing “My Name Is Earl” back to life.
The cable channel and 20th Century Fox TV, which produced the show, had begun discussing ways to revive “Earl” earlier this week, following NBC’s decision last month not to bring it back for a fifth season. Thursday, though, the studio took the somewhat unusual step of releasing a statement that those talks didn’t result in anything positive.
Money was the sticking point, with the studio saying “we simply could not make the economics work” without “seriously undermining” the content of the show.
“Earl” won five Emmys over its four seasons — including honors for writing and directing after season one and for supporting actress Jaime Pressly after season two — and earned star Jason Lee a pair of Golden Globe nods.
Here’s the full statement from the studio:
“[Creator] Greg Garcia’s brilliant ‘My Name is Earl’ kept America laughing for the past four seasons and certainly deserved to continue for many more. While we had hoped to find a way to produce additional episodes for TBS, in the final analysis we simply could not make the economics work without seriously undermining the artistic integrity of the series. As none of us, Greg included, want the show to go out on anything but a high note, we regret that we must put to rest any speculation that ‘Earl’ will continue. We are grateful to everyone at TBS for their enthusiasm for the series and wish to offer our heartfelt thanks to the cast and crew of ‘My Name is Earl’ for their incredible work.”
I guess NBC does stand for “Nothing But Crap”. 30 Rock and the Office are the only other shows that are decent. Crap…we don’t even get a final episode.

Titty-Gate Ends
Looks like the “Donald” fired Miss “Titty-Gate” Prejean as the Miss California crown holder. It will be fun to see what her imbecilic response will be. I sure she will say she was unfairly accused and made a target of. Keep talking, girlie, you only dig your hole deeper and deeper.
Donald Trump ousts Prejean as Miss California
It’s official: Controversial Miss California Carrie Prejean has heard the words “you’re fired” from pageant boss Donald Trump.
Trump issued a statement Wednesday saying he sacked Prejean for failing to honor her commitments as Miss California USA.
Pageant officials say Tami Farrell, the first runner-up to Prejean in the Miss California USA competition, will take over those responsibilities.
Prejean created controversy during the Miss USA competition, where she was first runner-up, when she answered a judge’s question about gay marriage by saying marriage should be reserved for men and women.
Plastic Surgery Madness
I think people really do act like this in California…
